The Frame - Trailer

Here is the trailer for The Frame, a new movie by Jamin Winans, the director of Ink, which was an exceptionally well done low budget action/fantasy. Ink was an indie hit so this time around Jamin had a bigger budget and more possibilities. Judging by the trailer he made yet another interesting film:

It's been a while since I've seen anything really interesting and new on the "filming" scene, now here is a great idea and execution, a software which creates amazing looking steady cam like videos from your go-pro footage, check it out:

Atari: Game Over Trailer

The AVGN movie is coming out in a few months with a story revolving around the mystical landfill where thousands of E.T. cartridges can be found. For years this was an urban legend, there was no real information out there about this. So this year next to the AVGN movie we get a documentary about Atari's demise and the magical landfill, here is the trailer for it:

MAD MAX - Fury Road

MAD MAX is back and this time he's played by Tom Hardy. The new Mad Max movie was in development hell for several years, usually when this happens it has a great impact on the quality of the movie but that doesn't seem to be the case this time around. George Miller delivers amazing visuals and a gripping atmosphere with spectacular action - what more can we ask for? Let's just hope the movie itself will live up to the trailer, here it roams:

Wierd Al is back

Wow, almost a month since the last post. I've been busy with some new stuff. Good stuff.

Anyways. Weird Al Yankovic is back, not ,that he ever was really away but he says all of his albums are comeback albums. He's releasing eight videos in eight days, four of them are already out, they are great with some fun guest stars but so far this is my favorite. It's very fast and creatively done lyric video, Word Crimes, enjoy, you might even learn something:

Ben Sack

Ben Sack is an american graphic artist creating extremely busy and detailed, realistic looking images. You can spend minutes, even hours looking at all the details. I guess you need a lot of patience to do this. I only have one question, where's Waldo?

Perturbator - 16bit Music Video

It's really trendy these days to create something new with a retro feel to it, even go as far as using the limited technologies of a bygone era, limited resolution, limiter color palette. For my eyes these kind of experiments are a treat, but guess the younger generation, who never played the Sega MegaDrive or the SNES might find these odd.

The retro gamer scene and the demoscene has quite a few common members, but it's still rare to scene a demoscene product on a gaming system. Here is one from this year, Nu by Elix for the Gathering 2014 demoscene party, enjoy.

Ghost in the Shell - Project 2501

Here is a very interesting project from Ash Thorp. He and his team created a very special photo series as a homage to Ghost in the Shell. They recreated the legendary "Making of a Cyborg" scene from shot to shot, the results are really amazing.

Gints Zilbalodis is an animator / filmmaker from Latvia. He's creating amazing looking animations / short films with great atmosphere, interesting storylines and unique visuals. He made several short films already but still not many people know about his work, his videos only have a few hundred views yet they deserve a lot more:

A very good looking trailer for the new Christopher Nolan movie Interstellar, starring Matthew McConaughey. There are just enough movies about wormholes out there, I'm really looking forward to see where this movie will take us.

Gotham - The Series Trailer

This is the age of comic book movies and tv shows and for a geek like me that's a very good thing. After so many movie adaptations here comes a tv series about the origins of Batman and many other well known characters. I'm really looking forward to this, the trailer looks promising and the cast is fantastic, it's good to see Donal Logue in another great show after Vikings. Check it out:

Meet Boomer

Boomer is a little robot dinosaur and he is amazing. I've seen a lot of different robotic animals from the hex bugs to the huge dog like robots but nothing compares to Boomer, he really looks like he's alive and interacting with you. I would like to have one for myself.

A Trip out to Sea is an interactive website and it simulates what happens if you fall out of a boat in the middle of the sea. It's quite atmospheric and scary actally, check it out:
