Rayman Legends

Rayman Origins was a great and fun game when it came out, it was like an interactive beautiful cartoon that you can play with, be a part of. Now here is the sequel, Rayman Legends, and it looks even better than the previous one. Check it out if you're into cartoon style and platform games.

Contre temps - animated short

Here is a beautiful little animated short from French artists. The backgrounds and the scenery is hand painted I guess and the characters and some of the objects are in 3D, but with a cool cartoonish cell shading, so they don't stick out as much. The basic idea is really good but I think the screenplay could have been a lot better and the characters look a bit general to me, but the world and the images are really cool to look at, the atmosphere is there and it was a graduation film, so actually I really shouldn't complain. Cartoon Violence

Another music video, this time from France. As a kid I've always enjoyed imagining certain scenarios after watching an action packed Chuck Norris or Jackie Chan movie. I was the Terminator, Rambo or any other current action character, running around the house and garden with plastic weapons, imaginary explosions and bullet hits. In this music video all of these memories come to life and let me slip back to the good old days, even if just for a few minutes. Great idea and great execution!
