Meet Boomer

Boomer is a little robot dinosaur and he is amazing. I've seen a lot of different robotic animals from the hex bugs to the huge dog like robots but nothing compares to Boomer, he really looks like he's alive and interacting with you. I would like to have one for myself.

Sound Waves Visualized

In the latest episode of Cosmos they visualized sound waves with animation to make us understand what happens when we hear a sound. In this video they did the same but no animation was needed, through their special camera you can see too what happens when you clap your hands:

I Origins and Gone Girl - Trailer

I Origins is the new movie from the director of Another Earth, Mike Cahill. Another Earth was a breath of fresh air with a great basic idea and clever execution so I'm glad to see that he has a new movie. Luckily I Origins also looks very interesting with great images and many deep questions.

Great looking trailer for the new David Fincher movie starring Ben Affleck. It's good to see Fincher back with a darker movie.

Super Mario Cat

It's not that interesting and not that funny at all, so I don't really know why I'm posting this. Maybe because it's a cat + Super Mario. And motion tracking though. Anyway, here it is, check it out:

Superman with a GoPro

This great little video shows how it looks to fly around like Superman in POV. Really great idea I think, I hope the next Man of Steel feature will have some scenes like this.

Fargo on TV

I'm big fan of the Coen brothers, I think they make exceptional movies, certainly not for everyone, but perfect for me. When I first heard that they want to make a TV Series from their movie Fargo I was sceptical, mostly these feature to TV conversations turn out the be lousy aftertastes, but after checking out the numerous trailers and teasers for the show I have to say I'm interested. There is a great cast (Martin Freeman, Billy Bob Thornton, Colin Hanks and Bob Odenkirk just to name a few) and a genuine atmosphere. In less then two weeks we will see if it was worth the wait.

DarkPsychedelic - Online Kaleidoscope

Did you have a kaleidoscope when you were a kid? I sure did have one and it was great fun pointing it towards the light and screwing around with it. So many shapes and colors.

Here is an online kaleidoscope, it's still fun and beautiful:
