For Those Who See

Very interesting project by media artist and industrial designer Daniel Schulze. I wonder if it can be combined with some kind of projection.

Dead Snow 2

Happy holidays everyone, sorry for being inactive again for a few weeks, these last days of the year are always a rush, lots of last minute jobs and Christmas bonanza.

So anyway there are lot of new visually interesting things out there and since I'm a horror fan let me start with a trailer that is closest to my hear: Dead Snow 2. The first one was a real treat, I've always loved Naziplotation movies and it seemed that the genre is dead for while till Dead Snow, Iron Sky and Frankenstein's Army came along.

Here is a teaser for the sequel and it looks like it's going to be a treat the second time around as well, enjoy:

Tons of New Trailers

So in the past few days there was a tsunami of new trailers and I've been neglecting my blog, so it's about time I make up for it and make a nice little selection.

First here is the teaser for the new Planet of the Apes movie. I never was a big ape movie fan, I don't really get what is so cool about them - anyway, here is the teaser:

Next up is a trailer of the new Elijah Wood movie, Grand Piano. Elijah is trying to break new grounds with his latest films. I was pretty amazed by the Maniac not so long ago and here he goes again wondering to unknown territory in this new thriller. Looking forward to it.

Welcome To Yesterday has an interesting premise, time travelling and stuff... but again with teenagers, and Michael Bay - hopefully it'll be at least watchable.

Kevin Costner was always one of my favorite actors though in the last decade he wasn't so lucky picking movies apart from Mr. Brooks and a few other interesting ones. Finally he is getting back to his old status and finding good roles for himself. This might not be the best film of next year but it can establish Costner as an action star if it plays out well. Just look at what Taken did for Liam Neeson.

Here is a trailer for a very interesting looking little film: Cheap Thrills. Black comedies are rare, good black comedies are even more difficult to find so I really hope the movie will in par with the trailer:

Lastly here is a short teaser for an Indonesian action fest: Killers. The trailer doesn't show much, but we can be sure the movie is going to be bad ass - it's from the producers of Raid: Redemption.

Moving Illusions

A nice little video explaining how weird our brain really works. The lecture starts with explaining some anamorphic illusions and then it sinks deeper into philosophy and your basic understanding of your own life. Interesting stuff indeed.

GODZILLA - First Trailer

Here is the first trailer for the upcoming Gareth Edwards Godzilla reboot and I have to say it looks amazing. I love how Godzilla is not fully shown only mostly the damage he is causing and the final roar gives me the creeps. This should be good.

Vikings - Season 2 Promo

This years greatest new show for me was Vikings from the History Channel. The characters, the scenery, the stories were all cleverly crafted, so I'm really looking forward to the next season which will premiere in February next year. Till then here is a fresh promo for the show.

Jupiter Ascending - Trailer

Here is a trailer for the new Watchowski brothers or sisters or whatever movie called Jupiter Ascending. The trailer looks really promising, since the first Matrix the Watchowskis didn't make much of an impact, though they had some interesting projects like Cloud Atlas so it's about time they put something great on the table again:

Memory of a Broken Dimension

Here is an experimental game which is difficult to describe, it's mostly an fps exploration game but very different from anything I have ever seen, it's really dark but fun and it's a treat visually if you are into demoscene style graphics. It's free to download and play, check it out. Oh, and you will need some basic DOS knowledge to even start playing.

Download the game from here:

Guillermo del Toro's The Strain

Here is the first teaser for the upcoming Guillermo del Toro tv series, The Strain, they are in the middle of shooting the series so we won't see the final product for a while for sure, but this short little teaser is effective enough to keep me interested.
